Project details
Bosakker Waardenburg is an innovative 15.5-hectare agroforestry project that combines rows of trees with fields of perennial bio-based building materials and crops for human consumption. We aim to restore the soil and improve biodiversity, which is why we have created nature-friendly banks, a pond, and hedges through our fields. Our goal is to try out new agricultural approaches that are equipped to address current and future challenges, while still making a decent profit for farmers. We grow miscanthus, willow, fiber hemp, and poplar for building materials and walnut, hazel, wheat, and fava beans for human consumption.
