Land Stored Carbon

General Description

As Southeast Asia’s first commercial-scale Syntropic Agroforestry (SA) farm, A Little Wild aims to demonstrate that humans can accelerate the restoration of degraded soil + biodiversity + ecosystem using observation, knowledge, and management techniques. The land can become a dynamic forest and carbon sink while producing high quality food as a result!

Ultimately, we want to share knowledge with consumers and landowners so as a society, we all become more conscientious stewards of nature, and to show that it is possible to feed the planet without destroying it. Besides selling fruit, we also hold tours and workshops!

About the remover

A Little Wild (ALW) is a 55 ha soil and biodiversity restoration project in Johor, Malaysia. A Little Wild was started in 2020 by a group of 4 who were disillusioned and frustrated with the modern food system as it wasn’t giving health to people and it was even accelerating climate change. Having purchased the land in 2019, it had been planted in oil palm for the past few decades. The carbon storage of the first 6 hectares of agroforestry has been issued.
